10 Below and Marion

Alright, it's official. The Raptors HAVE to make a move now. With today's heartbreaking loss to Phoenix at home the Raps are now 16-26 making them 10 games below .500. They have lost all momentum and the ability to play defense. In their last 10 games they have allowed 99.6 points per game and their record stands at 4-6 during that stretch.

Shawn Marion must be looking pretty appealing to Raptors fans right now. Jermaine O'Neal really hasn't done $23M worth of work here in TO. He is averaging a mere 13.6 PPG and he has missed 13 out of 42 games this season. That's 30.9% of the Raptors season so far! Marion would bring the defensive intensity that was supposed to come with O'Neal and he also brings more consistency. He has only missed 22 of 246 games in these past three seasons. Jermaine on the other hand has missed 84 games. Another aspect Marion could bring to the organization is the ability to play multiple positions. You can play him at power forward, small forward and maybe even shooting guard. One more thing, Shawn Marion is a beast on the boards. His rebounds per game this season is 9.2 and his career average is 10 RPG.

CLOSING COMMENTS
I hope Bryan Colangelo makes the right decision and makes the trade with Miami. I don't know if this will completely fix this team but it cannot hurt at this point.
