6 Straight and Nathan Jawai

Yesterday, the Toronto Raptors lost their sixth game in a row. The final score was 87-84. CB4 led the way for the Raps with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Andrea Bargnani also posted a double-double and "Rockin' " Roko had 8 points and 3 assists off the bench. Joey Graham didn't follow up his 22 point effort against the Suns very well and only scored 4 points.

On the Hawks end of the court Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson and Josh Smith all had 20+ point nights and Johnson lead the way with 28. Josh Smith matched Chris Bosh this game with 22 points and 14 boards. The only Hawk to score off the bench was Flip Murray who dropped 12 points 3 assists and 5 rebounds in 34 minutes of court time.

Toronto led by 9 at half with a score of 51-42. Unfortunately it is nearly impossible for the Raptors to play two halves of decent basketball and they were out scored 45-33 in the second half.

In other news, Nathan Jawai dressed but did not play for the Raptors today. The 6-10 280 pound forward rode the pine in yesterdays loss and watched the three forwards play 40+ minutes each. Even if he didn't play it was good to see Jawai in a Raptors uniform...or warm-up suit.

CLOSING COMMENTS:
Raptors lose, Jawai gets courtside seats and once again Bibby owns TO. The only positive thing for Raptors fans is that there was some description of defense. It was just the third time the Raps had held a team under 90 points this month. The Raptors' next game is in Detroit on TSN2, which of course, I can't watch.... when will they resolve this?
